New Camera!
We've been playing with our new camera a lot lately, and I must say, we love it!
Of course, it's hard to make a subject this cute look bad. :)
We're selling our Canon SX10 IS megazoom and picked up a re-certified Olympus PEN E-PL1 for a steal on Newegg. The E-PL1 is a micro four thirds camera; it's a relatively new breed that marries our desire for DSLR quality with a more compact size. If you're thinking about getting a DSLR but aren't crazy about the large size, I highly recommend checking out some of the micro 4/3 cameras. As someone who usually shoots in manual mode, this baby does everything I want and more- I'm almost ashamed to say, the performance on auto mode is so good... I might just find myself using that more often. We hope to eventually pair it with a Panasonic 20mm pancake lens for even better performance and 'fit in your pocket' size! ...And come August, we'll have the perfect little subject to photograph to our hearts' content!
Diorama Pup
Jesse is very proud of our lawn. He's also been having quite a good time playing with the new camera's art filters.

Nice, I've been looking at getting a DSLR eventually. I think I'll look into this one, as I know you wouldn't buy anything you haven't done extensive research on! :)
Definitely check out the micro 4/3 cameras! The wikipedia link in the post gives a basic explanation of what they are. The dpreview goes into a lot of detail about the camera as well and how it compares to dslrs & point and shoots. I'm sure it's not for everyone, but for us, there was no question it was the winner. :)
Your weens are coming to live with me.
Great shots ~ how exciting. You know I love your models!
