Three Terrific Years!

Happy 3rd Anniversary to my wonderful husband Jesse! I couldn't imagine being married to anyone more loving, adorable, hilarious, caring, and Godly as you! I can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together! :)

In Texas!

My dad spends a lot of time relaxing in this chair (usually accompanied by a wiener dog & his laptop). This morning, I came downstairs and was greeted with, "Why hasn't CozyLittleCave been updated?" Well, I'm in Texas! That's why! We made the 2 day drive back down here and have been relaxing with family, so I haven't been online much. My apologies; I hope to have some more posts for you soon though. :)

Also, check out this awesome vintage lampshade on the lamp behind him! My mom rescued it from my great-grandfather's farmhouse!

Cozy Little Christmas

Tomorrow we're heading for Texas again to celebrate the holidays with family, so I kept our Christmas decorating to a minimum this year. Still- without a real tree and huge boxes of ornaments, I think I managed a pretty decent display! I find most of my decorating practices go out the window for Christmas; for me, it's about memories, family, traditions, and hand-me-downs! What's your Christmas decorating style?

Isn't this a really cool fixture?? It still works, and it's a reasonable $75. I'm very tempted to make an offer, but I'm not sure where I'd put it.

She found these adorable doxie bookends at a vintage shop in Texas. Isn't he precious!? Looks just like Pickle... but much better behaved.

Pretty Pots & Pans

Did you see Jesse & Leia's Inspired American Bungalow House Tour on Apartment Therapy? Most of their place isn't really my style (a little too cluttered for me), but I just loved this image from their kitchen. Something about all those colorful pots & pans is so inviting and joyous. Plus- that layering almost looks mod!

Christmas Lights!

I loved what I did last year, but that was before I realized why no one up here lines the yard with lights... the ground freezes. Duh. So we had to abandon that plan & come up with something a little more practical this year... and I love it!
