A Stormy Weekend...
Ok so it's not so stormy anymore, but yesterday evening we had a very strong, very short storm!

And when I mean strong & short, I mean it uprooted one of my window box spruces, tossed my fiberglass pots/boxwoods from the front porch down into the street, and took down trees and huge branches, caused torrential wind/rain/flooding, and took down gutters... in about 10 minutes total. It was pretty scary- particularly when I had to go out in it to try and rescue my poor plants!

I know- wasn't that crazy?! Our heavy metal deck furniture all blew over, the kids' picnic table was on the other side of our lawn and our neighbors' gutters were torn off. We lost power for five hours from 3:50-9, so it was an adventure getting the kids to bed by candlelight.
We had a storm yesterday too but doesn't sound as bad as yours was . . .they can definitley be pretty scary. Stay safe.
