A Christmas Lesson Learned...

After taking down our Christmas decorations today, I've decided that we will be rethinking the outdoor plan for next year. You see... we staked the lights in the ground lining our yard- and we thought it looked pretty good. It did. But you see... we live up north now, and the ground is frozen... solid. So now there are probably about 100 little green plastic stakes that won't budge until the ground thaws (whenever that will be). Lesson learned. Oh well.


I think next year we might use our red & white C9s to line the windows on the inside (help heat the house instead of melt snow!), but we'll see. I already decided to hang window wreaths instead of draping garland from the window boxes (a big windstorm up rooted the stakes for 3/4 windows).
